Hawaiian Pie
Hawaiian Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large can crushed pineapple (use juice), 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. flour, 1 large can red sour cherries, strained and 1 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine pineapple, sugar and flour and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Dissolve jello and gelatin in 1/4 cup hot water.
Add to pineapple mixture and cool. Add cherries, nuts, bananas and coconut.
Put into 3 baked pie shells and put in refrigerator to set for 1 hour or more.
Serve with whipped cream!
