Hawaiian Pie
Hawaiian Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can pie cherries, drained, 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, 1 can crushed pineapple juice and all, 1 1/2 c. sugar and 3 heaping tbsp. cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine cherries, strawberries, pineapple, sugar and cornstarch; mix well.
Cook on low heat until thick and clear. Remove from heat; add one package of strawberry Jell-O (dry) and pecans.
When cool, put in baked pie shell or graham cracker crust, in which bananas have been sliced.
Top with Cool Whip. This makes enough for 3 pies.
Serves 8.
