Hawaiian Fruit Pie
Hawaiian Fruit Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large can crushed pineapple, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 c. cornstarch or flour, 3 oz. pkg. orange or lemon jello and 16 oz. can pie cherries, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix sugar and cornstarch, then add crushed pineapple (juice included).
Mix thoroughly and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.
Stir in jello, stirring until dissolved; cool.
Add cherries and nuts.
Line baked pie shells with sliced bananas, sides and bottom.
Fill with jello mixture and top with Cool Whip; refrigerate.
