Hash Brown Hash
Hash Brown Hash is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 c.), 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1 c. frozen loose pack hash brown potatoes, 1 c. finely chopped cooked beef and 2 tbsp. snipped parsley (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a 1-quart casserole, cook onion and butter or margarine covered on 100% power (High) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until onion is tender.
Stir in potatoes, beef, parsley (if desired), Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Cook, covered, on high about 3 minutes or until heated through.
Stir together evaporated milk and flour, then stir in the meat mixture.
Cook uncovered on high about 3 minutes or until thickened and bubbly, stirring each minute until the mixture starts to thicken, then stirring every 30 seconds.
Cook, uncovered, on high for 1 minute more.
Serve atop green pepper wedges, if desired.
