Harvard Beets

Drain beets, reserving 1/4 cup liquid.
In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Stir in reserved beet liquid, the vinegar and butter.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Stir in beets.
Cook until heated through. Makes 2 servings.
