Hard Tack Candy
Hard Tack Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 3/4 c. sugar, 1 c. water, food coloring, as desired, 1 1/2 c light corn syrup and 1 tsp. flavoring oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix sugar, water and food coloring in a large saucepan and stir medium dissolved.
Without stirring until temperature reaches 310Β° or drops of syrup form hard brittle threads in cold water.
Remove from heat.
After boiling has ceased, stir in flavoring and coloring.
Pour on to greased cookie sheet, or a cookie sheet in which you have pressed powdered sugar.
