Hard Jack Candy
Hard Jack Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. syrup, 2 c. sugar, 3/4 c. hot water, 1/2 to 1 tsp. flavoring (depending on flavor) and coloring (however much you want), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Heat first 3 ingredients.
Add coloring at 250°.
Continue cooking to 300°.
Add flavoring after boiling to 300° and turn off heat.
Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
Slice into strips and quickly cut with scissors into small pieces.
Place small pieces in powdered sugar as you cut them.
