Hard Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 2/3 c. light corn syrup, 6 drops food coloring and 1/2 tsp. desired flavoring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine sugar, water and syrup.
Boil to 290Β°.
Remove from heat and add desired flavoring and food color.
Stir only until blended.
Pour onto lightly oiled cookie sheet.
Cool slightly and score in squares or cool completely and break into small pieces. Dust in powdered sugar.
Store in covered jars.
