Hard Candy
Hard Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 3/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. water, 1 tsp. flavored oil and powdered sugar (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix together sugar, corn syrup and water in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310Β° or until drops of syrup form hard, brittle threads in cold water.
Remove from heat; after boiling has stopped, stir in flavoring and coloring.
Pour onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Break into pieces.
Store in airtight containers.
Makes in excess of 2 pounds.
