Hamburger Upside Down
Hamburger Upside Down is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. elbow macaroni (about 3/4 lb.), 3 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. minced onion, 2 tsp. minced garlic and 1 lb. ground beef, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook elbows until tender.
In skillet, melt butter.
Saute onion and garlic until tender.
Add beef and cook, stirring, until brown.
Drain and stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper and oregano. Simmer 5 minutes.
Spread beef mixture into bottom of greased 2-quart casserole.
Toss cooked elbows with grated cheese. Arrange on top of meat mixture and pack down.
Combine eggs and milk; pour over elbows.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
