Hamburger Corn Pone Casserole
Hamburger Corn Pone Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium onion, chopped, 1/2 green pepper, chopped, 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce and 1 lb. can corn, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In skillet, brown onion, green pepper and ground beef; drain. Add tomato sauce, corn with juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour mixture in an 8 inch greased casserole dish.
Mix egg and milk together; add corn bread mix and mix well.
Spread on top of meat mixture in casserole dish.
Bake at 375° to 400° for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6 people.
