Half-a-Pound Cake
Half-A-Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter, softened, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 1/2 c. cake flour and 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cream the sugar, butter and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine cake flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Add milk and beat 5 minutes.
