Gumdrop Fruitcake
Gumdrop Fruitcake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. thick applesauce, 1 1/2 c. honey, 1 c. shortening, 4 c. flour and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Quarter the gumdrops and the raisins and set them aside. Cream together honey, shortening, spices and salt.
Add the applesauce and mix well.
Sift in the flour and add the soda, again mixing well.
(This makes a rather stiff batter.)
Add gumdrops, raisins and nuts.
Bake in cake pan with greased paper in bottom for about two hours in a slow oven.
