Green Bean Casserole
Green Bean Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. frozen french-cut green beans, 1/2 stick butter, 1 tsp. onion, chopped, 1 tbsp. flour and 1/4 lb. sharp american cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cook green beans until limp.
Place in buttered flat casserole.
Next, melt butter in skillet; add onion and simmer until transparent.
Add flour; mix together and set to cool.
In top of double boiler, melt cheese in half and half.
Add mushroom pieces and drained chopped water chestnuts.
Add the butter onion mixtures; pour over green beans.
Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 to 35 minutes.
