Granny's Sugar Cookies
Granny'S Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick), 1 c. sugar, 1 large egg, 2 to 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream together butter and sugar.
Then blend in egg; add other ingredients to mixture.
Chill 1 to 2 hours.
Roll dough into 1/8 inch thickness.
Place on cookie sheet and bake in preheated moderate oven at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies about 2 inches in diameter.
