Cream shortening and sugar.
Add molasses and eggs.
Beat well.
Sift all dry ingredients together (flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and ginger).
Add dry ingredients to mixture and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls about 1-inch apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350Β°.
Makes about 4 dozen.
