Grandmother's Pound Cake

Use mixer and cream together shortening and sugar.
Sift and then measure flour.
Add alternately flour and eggs, one at a time. Add lemon juice, vanilla and salt.
Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes in greased and floured angel cake pan at 312Β°.
Let cool slightly in pan and then turn out on cake rack.
