Grandma's Tea Cakes
Grandma'S Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 1/2 tsp. lemon extract and 3 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and extract and beat well.
Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
Shape into 1 1/4-inch balls and place 2 1/2 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 11 to 13 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Cool 1 minute on the pan before removing to a wire rack.
Yields 5 1/2 dozen.
