Grandma Power's Ole Time Sugar Cookies
Grandma Power'S Ole Time Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 5 eggs, 1 c. shortening (grandma used jewel tea products for everything, i use crisco shortening), 1 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add vanilla.
In separate bowl, mix 1 cup flour and remaining dry ingredients.
Add to egg mixture.
Mix in flour, 1 cup at a time, to right consistency.
Flour board well, roll dough and cut. Sprinkle with sugar or sprinkles.
