Grandma Church's Wonderful Fudge
Grandma Church'S Wonderful Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 14 1/2 oz. can evaporated milk, 4 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/2 lb. marshmallows and 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Stir together in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven, over moderate heat, the butter, canned milk and sugar.
Bring to a boil.
Cover. Boil 5 minutes and turn off heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
Add the chocolate, one kind at a time, stirring as it melts.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Blend.
Pour into a buttered 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan and smooth evenly. Let stand until firm, then cut into 1-inch squares.
