Gooey Pecan Bars
Gooey Pecan Bars is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 18 minutes. Made with (18 oz.) pkg. caramel cake mix, large egg, lightly beaten, c. butter or margarine, melted and divided, large eggs and (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine cake mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup butter.
Press into bottom of a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Set aside.
Combine 2 eggs, cream cheese, powdered sugar and remaining 1/2 cup butter; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
Stir in pecans; pour over cake mix layer.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 to 55 minutes, or until set, covering loosely with aluminum foil after 45 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
Yields 3 dozen.
