Gooey Butter Cake
Gooey Butter Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yellow cake mix, 1 stick oleo or butter, melted, 2 eggs, 8 oz. cream cheese and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix the first 3 ingredients together and spread in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Then mix the remaining ingredients.
Spread mixture on top of bottom layer.
Sprinkle entire top of cake with the 1/2 cup of remaining powdered sugar.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes or until slightly brown.
If desired, one may sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped pecans on top of powdered sugar prior to baking.
