Good and Easy Pound Cake
Good And Easy Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1 c. butter or margarine, 6 eggs, separated, 3 c. plain flour and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.
With mixer cream sugar and butter.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt (don't omit this step).
Add flour and yogurt (with lemon juice) alternately to sugar-butter mixture.
Add flavorings.
Fold egg whites into batter very gently.
Pour into greased and floured Bundt cake pan and bake at 350Β° for 1 1/2 hours until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool and invert onto cake plate.
You may glaze, but I do not.
