Glorified Rice
Glorified Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple, 2/3 c. packaged precooked rice, 2/3 c. water, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 1/2 c. tiny marshmallows, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Drain pineapple, reserving the syrup.
In a saucepan, combine rice, water, pineapple syrup and salt.
Mix just to moisten the rice.
Bring quickly to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
Add marshmallows, pineapple, banana and lemon juice. Stir and then allow to cool completely.
Fold in cream.
Chill before serving.
