Glazed Peach Pie
Glazed Peach Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. sliced fresh peaches, 1/2 c. water, 1 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. cornstarch and 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Crush enough peaches to make 1 cup, leaving rest sliced. Combine crushed peaches with water, sugar and cornstarch.
Bring to a boil and cook over low heat until clear (2 or 3 minutes), stirring occasionally, then add butter.
Cool slightly.
Line baked pie shell with fresh peach slices.
Pour glaze mixture over peach slices.
Chill for 2 hours or more.
