Glazed Onions And Carrots is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. carrots, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices, 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen whole onions, 1/4 c. margarine, 2 tbsp. brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. ground ginger, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Place carrots in a large saucepan with 1-inch of boiling water.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add onions.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes longer or until just tender.
Drain and return vegetables to the pan.
Add margarine, brown sugar and ginger, stirring frequently.
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until vegetables are glazed.
Makes 4 cups.
