Gingerbread Cookies
Gingerbread Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 sticks softened butter, 6 c. all-purpose flour, 2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1 c. molasses and 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream the butter with brown sugar until fluffy; blend in grated peels and spices.
Put molasses in saucepan and bring to a boil; pour into butter mixture and blend well.
Add beaten eggs; beat until thoroughly mixed.
Sift all dry ingredients except powdered sugar and salt and add to butter mixture, stirring vigorously until dough is smooth and pliable.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill 1 hour.
