Gingerbread
Gingerbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. boiling water, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. molasses and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Pour boiling water over shortening.
Add sugar, molasses and well beaten egg.
Mix well.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Beat until smooth.
Bake in waxed paper lined 8-inch square pan at 325Β° for 35 minutes, or until done.
Serve with whipped cream or Dream Whip.
