Ginger Creams
Ginger Creams is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 small egg, 1/2 c. molasses and 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix first four ingredients together thoroughly.
Stir in soda dissolved in hot water.
Mix together flour, salt, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon.
Add to first mixture, mixing thoroughly. Chill dough.
Drop by teaspoon 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 400Β° oven 7 to 8 minutes.
Ice while still warm.
