Gertrude Armstrong's Oklahoma Cake

Add first 4 ingredients together.
Mix well and let come to a boil. Set aside to cool.
Mix flour, sugar (granulated), soda, buttermilk and vanilla to taste. Add boiled mixture and stir real well.
Pour in an 8 x 13-inch pan. Cook at 325Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Punch holes in cake.
Make frosting with the oleo, cocoa, powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to be creamy.
Heat and pour over cake while hot. Do not boil.
