German Cole Slaw
German Cole Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. green cabbage, finely shredded, 1 medium onion, chopped finely, 1 medium green pepper, chopped fine, 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 c. cider vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a large bowl place cabbage, onion and green pepper.
In a small saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar and oil.
Bring to boiling point.
Immediately pour over vegetables.
Add salt, black pepper and celery seed.
Mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for 12 hours or longer.
Yields 4 cups.
