German Chocolate Pie
German Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate (4 oz.), 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk, 3 tbsp. cornstarch and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt chocolate and margarine over low heat; remove from heat and stir in milk.
In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
Beat in one egg at a time.
Add vanilla and mix thoroughly.
Gradually blend in chocolate mixture.
Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell. Combine coconut and pecans.
Sprinkle over top of filling.
Bake at 375Β° for 45 minutes.
Filling will set as pie cooks.
