German Chocolate Pie
German Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. cake flour, 1 tsp. cornstarch, 2 eggs and 1 stick melted margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix sugar, flour and cornstarch together, blending well.
Add eggs, mixing well.
Add melted margarine and chocolate, mixing only until blended and smooth. Gradually add milk, mixing and keeping bowl scraped down well. Stir in vanilla (more if desired) and salt. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of coconut over bottom of two 10-inch unbaked pie shells.
Pour chocolate mixture into shells and bake approximately 40 minutes in a 350Β° oven.
