German Chocolate Cool Bars
German Chocolate Cool Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chocolate wafer crumbs, 1/4 c. melted butter or margarine, 2 (4 oz.) pkg. baker's german's sweet chocolate, 1/3 c. milk and 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Combine crumbs and melted butter.
Press firmly into bottom of 9-inch square pan.
Grate or finely chop 1/2 package of the chocolate.
Heat remaining chocolate and milk in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until chocolate is melted.
With whisk, beat in cream cheese until smooth.
Cool 5 minutes.
Fold in 3 1/2 cups of whipped topping and the grated chocolate.
Spread mixture over crumbs.
Spread remaining whipped topping over chocolate layer.
Freeze until firm, about 2 hours.
Garnish as desired.
Makes about 15.
