German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. baker's german chocolate, 1 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. boiling water, 2 c. sugar and 4 egg yolks (unbeaten), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Melt chocolate in the boiling water.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each.
Add chocolate and vanilla.
Sift together salt, soda and flour.
Add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture, beating well after each addition.
Beat until batter is smooth.
Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter. Pour into 3 baking pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
