German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german sweet chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. butter, 2 c. sugar and 4 egg yolks, unbeaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Chocolate in boiling water.
Butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks, 1 at a beating after each one.
Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
Mix well.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture.
After beating until smooth, fold in egg whites.
Bake in 3 (8 or 9-inch) greased
Teflon cake pans at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes. and frost with Coconut-Pecan Icing.
Yields 1 (3 layer) cake.
