German Chocolate Brownies
German Chocolate Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix, 2/3 c. evaporated milk, 3/4 c. butter, 40 caramels and 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup milk and melted butter.
Press 1/2 of this mixture into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes in 350Β° oven until bubbly.
In double boiler or microwave, melt caramels and remaining 1/3 cup milk.
Remove cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust, followed by nuts, then melted caramels.
Crumble remaining cake mix over all and return to oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
Cool in refrigerator 30 minutes. Makes 36 bars.
