German Chocolate Brownies
German Chocolate Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box german chocolate cake mix, 1/3 c. evaporated milk, 2 eggs, 1/3 c. evaporated milk (again) and 1 lb. kraft caramels (about 1 1/4 bags), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Break up lumps of cake mix with whisk.
Add eggs and 1/3 cup milk and stir by hand just until moist.
Pat 1/2 of this mixture in pan.
Reserve remainder.
Bake at 325Β° for 8 minutes.
Combine caramels and remaining 1/3 cup milk.
Microwave at 70% power, stirring every 1 1/2 minutes for 8 to 10 minutes.
Stir in pecans and coconut.
Remove pan from oven.
Sprinkle Toll House chips on top.
Gently flow caramel mixture on chocolate.
Make "patties" from remaining dough and lay on top of caramel.
Return to oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool on rack for 1 hour.
Cover and refrigerate overnight to set caramel.
