German Cake(Fruit Filled)
German Cake(Fruit Filled) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 3 eggs, 2 c. flour, 1 can fruit pie filling and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream together margarine and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.
Add flour and salt and blend until well mixed.
In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch sheet cake pan, spread a little more than 1/2 of batter on bottom of ungreased pan.
Spread fruit pie filling (I use cherry or blueberry) over top of batter in pan. Drop by spoonfuls the remaining batter onto the pie filling. Bake at 325Β° for approximately 1 hour.
Top will be light golden brown.
Test cake with toothpick for doneness.
Can be served warm and with whipped cream or ice cream.
