Geri's Crunchy Sweet Dills
Geri'S Crunchy Sweet Dills is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 24 minutes. Made with (46 oz.) jar vlasic polish crunchy dills, c. sugar, c. vinegar, c. juice (from pickles) and c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Drain juice from pickles, saving 2/3 cup.
Put pickle juice, sugar, water, vinegar and spices in a large 3-quart saucepan and bring to a boil.
Slice pickles in 1-inch slices and put back into jar.
When vinegar mixture has cooled to lukewarm, pour over pickles.
Replace lid and shake well.
Put in refrigerator.
Each day for 10 days, shake pickles to distribute spices.
After the 10 day period you will have great pickles.
These make a nice gift, especially for the holidays.
