Funnel Cakes

Combine egg and milk.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to egg and milk mixture.
Fry in hot oil at 375Β° using a funnel with 5/8-inch opening.
Holding finger over funnel bottom, measure 1/4 cup batter at a time.
Swirl in a circle as batter runs from funnel into hot oil.
When golden brown, remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with a good dusting of powdered sugar.
