Fudge Brownies
Fudge Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. water, 2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 325Β°.
Combine butter, sugar and water in small saucepan and bring just to boil.
Remove from heat.
Add chocolate chips plus extract; stir constantly until chocolate melts.
Place chocolate mixture in large bowl.
Beat in eggs by adding one at a time.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.
Gradually add dry ingredient mixture to the chocolate batter.
Add nuts.
Spread batter into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake 50 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
Makes 4 dozen 1 1/2-inch squares.
