Fruit Pie
Fruit Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. vanilla wafers (crumbled), 2 sticks butter, 7 oz. coconut, 1 jar maraschino cherries and 1 can mandarin oranges, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Drain fruit and set aside.
Melt butter in iron skillet.
Pour in coconut and brown, add vanilla wafer crumbs.
Remove from heat. Put aside 1/2 cup of mixtrue.
Press immediately in 2 pie plates. Beat milk and lemon juice until peaked, add cool whip.
Gently fold in fruit and walnuts.
Top with crust mixture.
Refrigerate overnight.
