Fruit Nut Cake
Fruit Nut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 1/2 c. cocoa, 1 egg, 1/2 c. shortening and 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Heat milk, cocoa and egg in double boiler, stirring constantly until thickened.
Remove from heat.
Stir in shortening until melted.
Add all mixed dry ingredients to cocoa mixture until smooth.
Mixture will be thick.
Spread in 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and walnuts.
Bake at 350Β° for about 35 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
Top with ice cream.
