Fruit Cocktail Pudding

Sift flour, soda, salt and sugar together.
Mix egg, vanilla and fruit cocktail together and combine all ingredients.
Pour mixture into two buttered pans.
Sprinkle top with brown sugar and nuts.
Place in oven at 325° for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 275° and bake 30 minutes longer.
Serve cold with whipped cream. It is better made the same day as served.
