Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Place stick of butter in a loaf style casserole dish and place in oven to melt.
In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour, milk, egg and vanilla.
Fold in fruit.
Remove casserole dish from oven.
Pour batter into dish, do not stir. Bake for 30 minutes.
Good served with whipped cream or ice cream.
