Fruit Cake
Fruit Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. lemon peel, 1/4 lb. orange peel, 1/2 lb. candied cherries, 1/4 lb. walnuts and 1/4 lb. pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Shred fruit peels.
Halve cherries.
Chop nut meats and dates. Cut pineapple and citron.
Dredge fruit in 1/4 cup of flour. Cream the shortening with sugar.
Add honey.
Add beaten eggs; beat until smooth.
Add 1 1/2 cups flour (which has been sifted with all dry ingredients), alternately with fruit juice.
Beat thoroughly.
Pour batter over fruits and nuts; mix well.
