Frosty Strawberry Squares
Frosty Strawberry Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. chopped walnuts, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted and 2 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Stir together first 4 ingredients; spread evenly in shallow baking pan.
Bake in a 300Β° oven for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Sprinkle 1/3 of the crumbs in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Combine egg whites, sugar, berries and lemon juice in large bowl.
With electric beater, beat at high speed to stiff peaks, about 10 minutes.
Fold in Cool Whip.
Spoon over crumbs; top with remaining crumbs.
Freeze 6 hours or overnight.
Will cut 12 to 15 squares.
(Trim with whole strawberries, optional.)
