Frosted Date Balls
Frosted Date Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/3 c. sifted confectioners sugar and 1 tbsp. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Combine flour and salt; sift twice.
Cream the butter and gradually add sugar.
Add milk and vanilla; stir in the sifted flour.
Blend in dates and nuts.
Roll in 1-inch balls.
Place about 3-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in 300Β° oven about 20 minutes, until light brown.
While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
