Frito Casserole
Frito Casserole is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 50 minutes. Made with large bag fritos, (1 lb.) brick chili, c. diced onion, c. tamales and jalapeño cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Heat the chili.
Using a round baking dish, cover the bottom with a layer of Fritos, then a layer of tamales, topped with 1/2 cup chopped onion.
Pour 1/2 of the chili on top of all of this and add 4 slices of cheese.
Repeat in the same order with the remainder of the ingredients, beginning with chopped onion.
Bake at 350° until casserole is hot and cheese is melted.
